Sometimes, a stroke of genius or inspiration can occur when you least expect it; and these movies, in one way or another, touch on the gripping subject of money and success.
We'll stop waffling on now and give you what you want: our rundown of four fantastic movies about money...
The Wolf of Wall Street
Brash, loud and outrageous, this high-octane Hollywood blockbuster is based on the real-life story of Jordan Belfort and his rise to a super rich stockbroker living the high life right through to his fall from grace, including crime, corruption, the federal government - oh, and flying mini men.
The Pursuit of Happyness
Starring Will Smith and his son Jayden, this incredible and often heartwrenching flick tells the true tale of Chris Gardener and his unrivalled determination as he takes custody of his son while trying to make it in the cut-throat world stock brokerage. An inspirational rags to riches story.
Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room
This jaw-dropping and generally infuriating film documents the flawed and thoroughly corrupt businesses practices of the Enron Corp, an entity that abused California's deregulated electricity market to extort millions of bucks. The result? Suicides, 20,000 people losing their jobs, and one of the most colossal bankruptcies in modern history.
It's hard to think what you would do if you were in financial hot water; it's a time where your morals would be put to the ultimate test. In this 90s nail-biter starring Robert Redford, Demi Moore, Woody Harrelson, a millionaire offers a man down on his luck $1 million to spend just one night with his partner. Does he go through with it? You'll have to watch it and find out.
