I think my followers understand genuinely that I have no interest in getting anything out of them. The only thing I want from them is their attention, and in return, I’m willing to give them everything I’ve got.” - Gary Vaynerchuk
41-year-old entrepreneur and CEO of VaynerMedia Gary Vee is a force to be reckoned with.
Seemingly from nowhere, Gary Vee rose through the ranks of the business world, making a huge impact and while generating his fortune.
Now, as well as running VaynerMedia, Vaynerchuk also runs VaynerSports, is a venture capitalist, a New York Times bestselling author and host of The #AskGaryVee Show.

One. Mr Vee is originally from the Soviet Union. He was born in Babruysk, Belarus, in the former USSR and immigrated to New York with his parents as a result of an exchange program. Gary feels that coming from a communist country to America helped to shape him as a businessman.
Two. Gary Vee isn't bothered about receiving advice. In fact, he feels that almost every piece of advice he's ever been given has been bad. In his own words...
Advice is bad unless it’s contextual and you really dig deep...Best advice only comes from the people closest to you and the ones that actually have your best interest in mind, and not theirs. That means, almost nobody... I just don’t listen to anybody.
Three. Mr Vee is somewhat obsessed with the New York Jets. Gary's childhood dream was to become the owner of the New York Jets, and not much has changed. In fact, it’s part of the reason he began building an empire in the first place. Again, in his own words...
My next step in my career is going out and buying businesses and then running them through the VaynerMedia machine, and then flipping them and then making hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars and hopefully billions and then buy the New York Jets.
Four. Gary is part of a new reality TV show from Apple TV. Starring alongside the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba and Will.i.Am, Mr Vee will help to mentor app developers on Apple’s new ‘Planet of the Apps’.
Five. Gary Vee is a lifelong hustler, through and through. While his childhood pals were soaking up cartoons, Vaynerchuk was out selling baseball cards, and apparently, heaps of them. And still, he never stops hustling. Yet again, in his own words...
“I’ve always had one substantial advantage against the market which is… I just work 13 and 14 and 15 hours a day… competing against people that are working seven and eight, and really five and six when you count in lunch and a couple of YouTube videos and a phone call or two.”
